Gotham Elevator Inspection is a private, full-service Inspection, Testing, Expediting and Consulting company serving building owners, property managers and elevator companies throughout the New York City area. We are a DOB-Approved Third-Party Witnessing Agency.

We provide third-party witnessing services for Periodical Category 1 and Category 5 Inspections and Tests of Elevators and Escalators within New York City. We perform Qualified Elevator Inspections (QEI) outside the five boroughs of New York City.

We are 100% accountable for scheduling and witnessing inspections, as well as filing required documentation within the mandated time frame with the Department of Buildings upon completion of the inspection.

We also offer a range of expediting services including violation searches and dismissals, attending court hearings, and a full line of filing services for all phases of elevator work.

Our mission is to use our expert knowledge of the New York City Department of Buildings Elevator Regulations to inform our clients, keep them code compliant and help them avoid elevator violations and associated penalties.

All Gotham inspectors are QEI Certified by NAESA International, licensed by the New York City Department of Buildings and have over 20 years’ of experience in the maintenance, repair and inspection of various types of elevator equipment.
